In the aquaculture industry, the control of dissolved oxygen is very important. Dissolved oxygen in water is one of the key factors in sustaining the survival of fish and other aquatic organisms. If the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water is too low, fish and other organisms will not be able to breathe, leading to death. On the other hand, if the dissolved oxygen content is too high, it will lead to an increase in the redox potential in the water, which will have toxic effects on the organism.
Therefore, during the aquaculture process, it is necessary to control the dissolved oxygen content in the water to ensure that the water quality is suitable and that fish and other aquatic organisms can grow and reproduce normally. Generally, the dissolved oxygen requirement in the aquaculture industry is not less than 5 mg of dissolved oxygen per liter of water.
