The ASP400 series of Analog PH Sensors developed and produced by Daruifuno has an upgraded shell material based on the ASP300. The PH Sensor is made of high-temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant PPS material and is more suitable for monitoring the pH value of various types of sewage. The internal structure of the ASP400 sensor has also been improved, making it more stable, faster in response and longer in life when measuring pH. Temperature has an impact on pH value. ASP400 is divided into ASP400V without temperature sensor, ASP400N with NTC10K temperature sensor and ASP400T with built-in PT1000 temperature sensor. Users can choose the appropriate electrode according to their own needs. The cable length of the pH electrode can also be predetermined. The default is 5 meters and can be customized up to 60 meters.

The pH sensor is a component that directly responds to the pH value in the solution. It consists of a glass rod and a low-end glass hydrogen ion sensitive membrane. When the sensitive membrane comes into contact with an aqueous solution, a gel layer forms on its outside. At the same time, since the sensor is filled with an aqueous electrolyte solution, there is also a layer of gel inside the membrane. The hydrogen ions in and around the gel layer will leak out or penetrate into the gel layer according to the concentration of hydrogen ions in the test solution, that is, the pH value. If the solution is alkaline, H+ will leak out and a negative charge will form on the outside of the membrane. Since the electrolyte inside the sensor has a constant pH value, the potential on the inner surface of the membrane remains constant during the measurement process. This results in different charges inside and outside the pH sensor.

The electrode of the pH sensor cannot be left in a dry state for a long time, otherwise it will fail due to dehydration. At this time, you can try to soak the electrode in a pH 4.0 buffer for 24 hours, and then take it out to check whether the detection function has been restored. If it still does not work properly, you can only replace the new electrode. If the pH electrode is not used for a long time, you can add a saturated KCL solution to the factory protective cap for preservation.
