How to choose the suitable dissolved oxygen sensor for different application?

Delfino is a company that provides water quality monitoring solutions. We provide three types of online digital Dissolved Oxygen Sensor: OPTOD, OPD700 and OPD790. They all use fluorescence method to measure oxygen concentration of water. The range of these three sensors is 0~20mg/L, that is, when measuring the dissolved oxygen concentration, it can measure the range from 0 to 20 mg/L.

So what are the differences between these sensors and how to choose the suitable one?

OPTOD is a low-power sensor that is suitable for industrial and municipal water treatment environments, and is also suitable for mounting on river or ocean water quality detection buoy equipment.

OPD700 is a dissolved oxygen sensor specially designed for aquaculture with low cost. This makes it possible to arrange sensors at multiple points in large-scale farming occasions to avoid detection blind spots.

OPD790 is suitable for industrial municipal water treatment environment. It has a special detection head protection cover, which can block the impact of sundries in the water on the sensor detection head.

In addition, it can be easily connected to the cleaning system, reducing the user's maintenance frequency and extending the service life of the sensor.

These three sensors all meet the IP68 protection level and can work continuously and stably underwater for a long time.

They can be used with industrial online transmitters, DTU (data transfer unit), portable instruments and other equipment.

About the communication, OPD700 and OPD790 support RS485 and Modbus communication protocols, while OPTOD supports SDI-12 protocol in addition to RS485.
