Daruifuno's pH sensors are available in both analog and digital. Analog pH sensors are usually low-cost and can be connected to analog controllers, while digital pH sensors are expensive. So what is the difference between digital pH sensors and analog pH sensors?
First of all, the signal output methods of digital pH sensors and analog pH sensors are different. Analog pH sensors usually output only chemical signals, weak voltage signals, and need to be connected to a transmitter to convert the chemical signal into a readable pH value. Some analog pH electrodes have their own voltage or 4-20mA current output. Still others are chemical signals that require connection to a transmitter or controller to read the value. The Digital pH Sensor, such as DPH790, has a built-in RS485 interface and supports the Modbus communication protocol. It can convert analog signals into digital signals in the sensor, and can directly network to read data without a transmitter.

Digital signal processing reduces noise and drift in the sensor output. Digital pH electrodes have resolution and accuracy, while analog pH electrodes need to depend on the resolution and accuracy of the connected controller. Moreover, the analog PH Sensor will be affected by external circuits and cable transmission, resulting in numerical drift and weak stability.
In short, digital pH electrodes usually have higher flexibility and ease of use, and can be directly connected to a microcontroller or computer, configured and controlled by software, plug and play. The analog pH sensor needs to be used with the controller for reading and calibration.
The above is about the difference between digital pH sensor and analog pH electrode. Our company focuses on the R&D, production and sales of water quality analysis instruments. The main products are online pH ORP analyzer, conductivity analyzer, turbidity analyzer, dissolved oxygen analyzer, COD analyzer, ammonia analyzer etc. If you need water treatment related products, please contact us.
