The pH value, or the hydrogen ion concentration index, serves as a measure of the activity of hydrogen ions in a solution and is a universal indicator for assessing the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The ASP400 hydroponic PH Sensor, an advanced product developed by Daruifuno, is specifically designed for controlling the water quality of nutrient solutions for hydroponic plants. Its core component, the pH electrode, is an [H+] ion-selective electrode that ensures accurate calibration and measurement of pH values.
The ASP400 sensor adopts a composite pH electrode design, integrating an indicator electrode, a reference electrode, and a temperature electrode into one unit. Its casing is made of PPS plastic rather than ABS plastic, giving the electrode a more metallized appearance and higher durability. The indicator electrode features a glass bulb design, while Ag/AgCl serves as the reference electrode, providing and maintaining a fixed reference potential for pH measurement. Additionally, the sensor boasts thicker silver wires, thereby extending its service life.

Considering the impact of temperature on pH measurement, the ASP400 sensor is equipped with a built-in temperature sensor, which can be of types such as PT1000, NTC10K, or PT100. The temperature sensor is located at the electrode head for faster temperature detection and response.

The interior is filled with KCl gel, which is less prone to leakage and requires no external filling, making it suitable for field use.
The plastic casing features 1-inch mounting threads at both ends, and matching Flow cells and mounting accessories are provided.

Furthermore, the ASP400 sensor supports connection to a cleaning interface, enabling underwater automatic cleaning when an air pump is connected by the user. When using the pH electrode, please ensure that there are no bubbles in front of the glass bulb. If there are bubbles, shake vigorously to remove them. After removing the electrode, shake it in deionized water and spin it dry. Do not wipe the glass bulb with paper towels, as this may affect measurement accuracy.
