ORP measurement can reflect the change of dissolved oxygen in the water body and provide the pollution information of the water body at the same time. Sewage treatment is mainly the process of using natural microorganisms to remove various organic and inorganic substances in sewage through redox reactions. Then by detecting the oxidation-reduction potential of sewage, it can also reflect the strong oxidation-reduction property of sewage. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that occurs when a substance does not have enough electrons to gain electrons from another substance in solution. Measuring this substance with an Analog Orp Sensor will give a positive reading. When the electrons have enough ions that they can donate some ions to the various oxidizing agents, these reagents become reducing agents, giving negative readings when measured. The ORP value will show how polluted or disinfected the water is. If the water cup is disposed of for recycling or consumption purposes, the sanitized water will have a higher ORP measurement. On the other hand, polluted water usually has lower ORP readings. inline analog ORP sensors are combination electrodes with a reference and indicator electrode inside. You can use the ORP Sensor with our online pH ORP Controller to realize more functions, such as control the dosing, output the data and so on.

Application of analog orp sensor
Suitable for redox systems on water treatment. The ORP electrode can measure the disinfection effect of swimming pool water, mineral water and tap water. Because the bactericidal effect of coliform bacteria in water is affected by the oxidation-reduction potential, the oxidation-reduction potential is a reliable indicator of water quality. If the redox potential value of pool water and mineral water is equal to or higher than 650mV, it means that the bacteria content in it is acceptable.
