    Description
    Product Description

Fluoride single and composite electrodes are membrane-fixed, ion-selective electrodes for measuring free fluoride ions in water quickly, simply, accurately and economically. Daruifuno's ASX400F fluoride sensor is housed in a PSS housing and can be connected to a fluoride controller for real-time continuous monitoring of water quality fluoride ions.

    Fluoride ion electrode principle
The working principle of fluoride ion electrodes is based on the principle of fluoride ion selective electrodes. A fluoride-selective electrode is a special ion-selective electrode that selectively detects and measures the concentration of fluoride ions in a solution. Fluoride ion electrodes typically consist of two main parts: an internal reference electrode and an external working electrode. The internal reference electrode is typically a silver/silver chloride electrode to provide a stable potential reference. The external working electrode is made of a special ion-selective membrane material that selectively responds to fluoride ions.

When a fluoride ion electrode is immersed in a solution containing fluoride ions, the fluoride ions chemically react with specific ligands in the membrane material. This reaction causes a change in the charge on the electrode surface, creating a potential difference. This potential difference can be measured and recorded by connecting to a potentiometer or measuring instrument.
Based on the measured potential difference and the known standard curve or calibration coefficient, the fluoride concentration in the solution can be determined. The higher the concentration of fluoride ions, the greater the potential difference. Therefore, by measuring the change in potential difference, the concentration of fluoride ions can be determined.

    Notes
It should be noted that the selective adsorption of ion-selective membranes is achieved by chemical reactions, not by physical adsorption. Therefore, when using fluoride ion electrodes, it is necessary to pay attention to the service life and maintenance of ion-selective membranes to ensure the accuracy of measurement results.
